Shorts (as in short trousers) are something that have for a long time, bothered me.  I simply fail to see the point of them, especially at this time of the year.

A few days ago I turned up to a client office in Romsey (near Southampton for those geographically challenged) about 10am, my in car thermometer thingy told me it was 2°C outside.  Within minutes the regular postman turned up, in shorts. 2 degrees C.  Am I the only one thinking “What the hell”?

Do postmen get paid extra for working in shorts? Or is it simply a mental illness that should be treated (like those people that seem to enjoy watching Darts on TV).

I have a theory that perhaps this strange phenomenon of exposing ones (normally) unshapely and hairy legs to the world may well be linked with the desire to wear sandal with socks.

Anyhow… completely pointless rant over.
